The Cushing Alumni Association ("we", "us") runs this website for graduates and friends of Cushing High School. This page explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it. We keep it short because we collect very little.

What we collect

• Contact updates you send us. When you use the "Update my info" form on the Connect page, we receive your name, email address, class year, and anything you write in the message box.
• Orders and donations. When you buy from our shop or donate, you pay on a secure page run by Stripe or Square. They collect your card details — we never see or store your card number. They tell us your name, email address, what you bought or which fund you gave to, the amount, and (for shipped orders) your shipping address.
• Your cart. Items you add to the cart are saved only in your own web browser (using "local storage") so they are still there when you come back. This information is not sent to us until you check out.
• Basic server logs. Like most websites, our server keeps short-term technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to keep the site running and secure.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking tools, and we do not create profiles about visitors.

How we use it

• To keep our alumni contact list up to date and to reach you about reunions, news, and alumni association business.
• To process, ship, or arrange pickup of your order, and to send you a receipt.
• To thank you for donations, send donation receipts, and keep the financial records the association is required to keep.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share it only with:

• Association volunteers who need it to do their job (for example, the volunteer who mails shop orders, or the treasurer).
• Stripe and Square, to take payments. Their privacy policies apply to the information you give them: Stripe Privacy Policy · Square Privacy Notice.
• Our email provider, to send receipts and notices.
• Anyone the law requires us to share it with.

How long we keep it

Contact updates are kept for as long as we maintain the alumni list, or until you ask us to remove them. Order and donation records are kept for as long as needed for accounting and tax purposes (generally seven years).

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, at any time. Email info@chstigersalumni.com and we will take care of it.

Children

This site is meant for adult alumni and supporters. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Scholarship recipients are listed only with permission.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
